Help Parihan to receive her life saving Zolgensma Treatment

Parihan’s parents were beyond elated when they had their second child Parihan. They absolutely adored their daughter’s sweet smiles and tender laughter.
Just when everything seemed to be going well, Zeinab and Mohammad began to notice that Parihan was having difficulties walking and crawling on her own, and she was well over a year old at that point. They took their concerns to a doctor and had Parihan assessed. Just before their beautiful baby girl turned 17 months old, she was diagnosed with spinal muscular atrophy (SMA) Type II– a severe, rare, and progressive neuromuscular disease. Zeinab and Mohammad’s world crumbled when they heard the heart-wrenching news.
Fortunately, there was hope in Parihan’s case to have a healthier future using a one-time dose of a gene therapy treatment called Zolgensma. Parihan’s parents were over the moon when they heard that this disease has a cure. Their daughter could have a normal life!

Their precious daughter Parihan, their pride and joy, was diagnosed with a disease that could affect her life forever. She could suffer from irreversible spinal damage, respiratory complications, eating difficulty, and the inability to walk or sit for the rest of her life! For a parent to hear that their child may never walk again was extremely painful. They loved their daughter dearly and wanted to do everything in their power to reverse her fate.
Fortunately, there was hope in Parihan’s case to have a healthier future using a one-time dose of a gene therapy treatment called Zolgensma. Parihan’s parents were over the moon when they heard that this disease has a cure. Their daughter could have a normal life!
However, their celebration was short-lived when they realized they could not afford the injection as this gene therapy would cost them about $2.3 million to obtain. Parihan’s parents felt so helpless. There was a cure for their daughter but they may not be able to help her because of the high cost. This was absolutely devastating knowing that the only thing keeping them from saving their daughter was the cost, and the worst part was that even if they were able to afford the treatment, Parihan must get the injection before her 2nd birthday and she is already 22 months old.
The family does not have the means to make up anywhere near the required amount in this time frame, thus they need our help. Zeinab and Mohammad have to fight against the clock to get the funds they need to help their beautiful baby girl. They both have always found ways to help their community, and now they ask us to help their daughter.
As each day passes, Parihan’s parents grow more and more eager to save their precious angel. They watch their baby girl day by day, seeing how smart their daughter already reading books before the age of two and happily basking in the joy of playing in the water as she giggles and smiles. They wish they could give her the world and more.
