My name is Bhupendra Singh Rana my wife Sarita Rana and our 9 month old daughter Akshita Rana. Who has a rare genetic disease named Spinal Muscular Atrophy. This disease is from birth to Akshita, we came to know about this disease a few months ago. After 3 months of birth, we noticed that Akshita is not doing activities like normal children. Because of which we showed Akshita to different child specialist doctors. But there was no benefit. When Akshita was 6 months old, the girl complained of excessive pneumonia, so the doctor asked to admit where Akshita was put on the ventilator and some tests were done, in which one was a test of the smn1 gene, which came positive in the report. It was told by the doctor that Akshita has sma type 1 disease, which is a rare disease, for which there is only one treatment in the whole world, an injection named Zolgensma which is worth 16 crores which is not in the budget of any normal family, hence Akshita’s treatment Donation campaign has been started for her treatment.

Right now Akshita is at home. Weekly Akshita is given injections of vitamins and proteins by the doctor. Symptoms of sma type 1 are now increasing in Akshita, the muscles of hands and feet are getting weak, due to which Akshita cannot move her arms and legs, even she is not able to drink milk herself, she is being given milk through NG tube. Sometimes his spit also gets stuck in the throat, due to which the oxygen level decreases. So We have use infant mucus extractor to remove the spit. doctor says that Akshita can live for 18 months in this disease, so we have to collect the amount of treatment soon, then please help us.
